Katherine S. Walker was admitted to the California Bar in 2007, and has been with Zieve, Brodnax & Steele, LLP since 2017. Ms. Walker has over 10 years of experience in the default servicing industry. In her position at Zieve, Brodnax & Steele, LLP, she is in-house counsel to the non-judicial foreclosure department. She works with Mortgage servicers of all sizes to ensure their compliance with state and federal laws, including, but not limited to, California Homeowner Bill of Rights, state and federal FDCPA, RESPA, TILA, SCRA, Dodd-Frank Act and CFPB Rules, state licensing laws, and governmental and regulatory agency investigations. Prior to her in-house and compliance experience, Ms. Walker represented lenders and servicers in eviction proceedings, bankruptcy matters, and state and federal court.

Ms. Walker graduated from University of California at Santa Barbara, where she double-majored in English and Law & Society.  During undergrad, Ms. Walker worked for both Santa Barbara County Adult and Juvenile Probation services.

Ms. Walker graduated from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.  During her first year of law school, Ms. Walker was chosen by the Sacramento Bar Association as a Diversity Fellow in which she worked as first-year summer associate for McDonough, Holland & Allen, Sacramento’s largest and top litigation firm.  Her third year of law school, Ms. Walker clerked for the California Department of Managed Health Care, Enforcement Division
